When Slinky Dog first came to CSRA/SA, he did not act like a very good boy. It happens sometimes--we can't always tell through photos and long distance evaluations how a dog is going to act in "real life" -- so we had this adorable guy who acted a bit like, well: a jerk. What do you do with that? For us, we have to first try and rule out any medical issues because sometimes that can be the root of the problem. It was through this process that we discovered that Slinky had a broken tail! YEEOUCH. Yeah, that might cause someone to be a bit of a pill. Over the last couple of months, he's been healing and we can say now that he's an affectionate guy who likes to sleep next to his person and get belly rubs. He loves chasing squirrels and trying to climb trees. He would prefer being an "only" and would do well in a home with no other dogs, cats or small children. Slinky Dog is 3 years old.
