Benje

Benje is an extra good boy - one of those "heart of gold" dogs. He is a sweetheart whose enthusiasm sometimes gets him into trouble - but he has learned to "catch" himself and work hard on behaving like a gentleman. He wants to do the right thing so much and really hates getting into trouble. He does get along with other dogs and loves getting hugs! He would make a great running buddy since he is very energetic andathletic.

His first owner was an elderly woman who tearfully gave him up because she was undergoing serious treatment for cancer. He is a beautiful dog - energetic and fun-loving. He is still working on his manners, especially housetraining and keeping his paws off of the countertops. His formerowner took him to obedience classes and he did very well - his behavior can still be very puppy-ish until he remembers he is supposed to sitinstead of fling himself around. We are working on self control.

He recently had an outing and met lots of new people and some children and was a complete success! He loved doing a little shopping and worked on his manners. He is currently crazy for my husband, Dan, and becomes deliriously happy when he is with him. LOL! This is a big step for Benje who was never around men in his previous life.

Benje is currently fostering in Midland but transport opportunities to the Austin area can be arranged.
