| Thank you to everyone for being so patient with us while we decided on our new baby, Joey. He is absolutely the sweetest doggie I have ever met. He plays well with my son and for some reason my cat loves him too. He runs and plays but is also perfectly content laying on my feet while I am working. The funniest thing is that he loves to be held on his back in your lap. I am not quite sure he knows that he is a dog, but that's ok. I promise to take good care of him and keep you updated. Jennifer S. |
Trooper is doing wonderful! He feels great and looks great. He is back to doing his happy dance! His coat is beautiful and shiny and his wound is healing wonderful (staples are gone). He loooooooooves his new diet... and I think it has made a huge difference. I hope everything is great with you, and thank you for all of your support and prayers during the time Trooper and I both needed them so much. Kitti |
Just wanted to let you all know how well Biscuit (formerly Dempsey) is doing. He has fit in as our new famiiy member rather well. He is our son's best friend and playmate! Thanks for all the endless hard work your group does for these beautiful animals!! Sincerely, The Prechel Family |
I still look at the cocker website and check to see how things are going back in Austin. I thought I would write and let you know how Toodles is doing living the "high life" here in Oakland, CA. We live on the eleventh floor of a twenty five story building. We take the elevator down several times a day for our walks. Both dogs have adapted very well to apartment living. Toodles gets along with all of the other dogs in the building and everyone just loves her. Sharon O. |
My new blog - klru.org/ctg/blog - has become a hit around the state! The one I just published for June 21 includes a picture of Chester and a link to Cocker Rescue! Chester is just doing great and says "Howdy." I'll send pictures for your web site when his summer crew cut grows in a bit. Best, Linda |
Hazel is really responding to us now and seems so perky and happy at the house. I think she may actually have lost weight - cross my fingers. She really likes her morning walks. Fergie is in the lead of course, but Hazel loves to follow her. Thanks for all your help in encouraging the process of locating another perfect dog for us. Kathy J. |
Just wanted to give you an update about Roscoe. He is doing very well and appears to have completely recovered from his surgery. He is an absolute doll, and it's a pleasure to take him walking because he's happy to meet everyone we pass along the way. We are starting training soon (hopefully before July) and with any luck soon he will be a reading ambassador or a therapy dog. He spreads cuteness and joy everywhere he goes, and we are very happy to have him. Jen W. |
I want to thank you for a beautiful dog you gave us. We are so happy with her and we love her very much. You are doing a great job, thank you so much. Portia is great with kids, she is so kind and funny and beautiful. Our dream came true, thanks to you. Best regards, Tatiana and Sasha V. |
Daisy is just an amazing dog. She loves all of us. She is wonderful at playing with the kids, and hanging out with Jason and I. I truly think she is the best dog I have ever had, and she hasn't even been here a week! Thanks for everything, Tricia M. |
Melody, now Holly, is about 14 pounds now and has gone through Puppy 1 class. She has started agility, as you can see, and is loving it. We did the A-frame last night and couldn't keep her off of it after she got use to it. Holly is loved by all. Margaret G. |
I'm way behind, but I thought I'd send this photo of Dylan. He is such a big boy now and likes living in Washington. He sends lots of snuggles and licks! Kara W. |
As you can see, Cisco is having a great time. Philip and Cooper have already begun walking him daily and teaching him the proper way to take a walk and Cooper and Cisco are exhausted after it. He plays a great game of fetch and since Philip is an avid tennis player we have plenty of extra tennis balls to fetch (they seem to be his favorite). Thank you for all the work and love you give these precious dogs! Our family couldn't of had a more perfect fit. Warmest regards, Shannon W. |
Gracie and Noah are doing great! They sure have changed our lives. We laugh alot at them. Noah is our scaredy-cat. He barks at every strange noise, shadow, appliance. But he loves our beagle, Skittles. They play and romp all the time. Gracie is Miss Independant. She does her own thing but likes to be in the same room as people. And they both love outside in the back yard as long as it's not wet grass. So we run alot in the yard. Thanks for everything. Sue W. |
Today is the one-year anniversary of the day I met Hogan and took him home...just a little 12-week old puppy then, and now a fine young gentleman. He is exactly 24 pounds, is very sweet and gentle, loves to sit on my lap, loves everyone he meets, whether human or canine...but NO cats, please! We are going to be working on commands, such as 'come', 'down' and 'stay,' some of which he has an inkling already. It is great having Hogan as my pet companion! Christine M. |
Thought I would pass on some photos of Quaker in his new home. He is such a delight. Although I've missed not having a pet in the home, I didn't realize how much until Quaker came into my life, he's wonderful. He's already playing fetch with the ball, I throw it and he brings it right back to me. He sleeps in the bed with me, and when I'm on the computer, he's either on the sofa or he's in his favorite doggy bed (he has three). You all do an awesome job and you bring such joy to so many people. Thank YOU! Lois M. |
We lub Danny and for sure want to keep him. I could sit here and write you a long list of all the cool things about Danny or just sum it up and say he is perfect for us! I hope you guys are lucky enough to get more dogs like Danny! Thanks SOOOOOO much, he really is an awesome dog! Lyndsay F. & Munchkins |
I thought you'd be pleased to know that the girls are getting along very well together. I was a little worried yesterday because Brandi didn't seem to be taking to Crista, but they woke up this morning rearing to go, and have been playing on and off ever since. She's such a good girl! She is very smart and entertaining too. I think she's quickly becoming a nice addition to our family. Please know that she is loved. Thanks again for all you do with these rescue dogs! Carrie H. |
We are doing great & Cubby --I think we are going to call him Charley--seems right at home. As you can see from pics, he already is king of the sofa! I want to thank you all so much for helping us find the right dog to add to our family and all your hard work in taking care of all those wonderful dogs. Vickye D. |
We like to say that Molly won the doggy lottery when she came to live with us. The truth is that we won the lottery! What a wonderful addition to our household – although the reality is that Molly has taken over and we only live there with her permission. Thank you so very much Austin Cocker Rescue. You do wonderful good deeds every day. Arlene & Lawrence M. |
I adopted Evie (formerly Mae) in December of 2005 and wanted to let you know how different Evie’s life is now! Once shy and timid, she is now spry, playful and so very affectionate! She loves her toys and gives sweet kisses! She is loved tremendously and spoiled as all dogs should be. Thank you to all the wonderful volunteers at the CSR that work faithfully to save Cocker kids in need. Because of your organization, my world is a brighter place, filled with so much love. Tara W. |
Just wanted to give you an update on Holly (formerly Melody). She and the boys are getting along. She goes through the doggie door on her own, has jumped on the couch, and eats like a pig. Last night she slept next to Oakley with her head on him. It was so cute. She can hold her own in the household. Thanks again for a great dog. Margaret G. |
Greta was a wonderful gift to Fergie and me and brought a lot of life and energy into our home. She was so good ...and good for us, that she has given me the strength to bring another senior cocker in our home. She was the best dog I've ever owned. Thanks for all you do to help the little loves of the world. Kathy J. |
Well, here's a funny story about Judge (formerly Flynn). He used to "steal" things out of my purse like lipstick (his favorite) and other things. Well, we had a blanket in the bedroom for him and one day I went to pick it up to wash it and there was a stash of about 15 items of mine that he hid under the blanket. Some a little chewed, some still intact. What a crazy dog!! He loved all boxes and bags and "checking things out". He was so curious! Sarah W. |
Just wanted to send you some recent pictures of Oakley and Otter doing agility. Oakley is entered in the NADAC trial the first weekend in March in San Marcos. Otter turns two the 14th of March. Both boys are doing great.
Margaret G. |
Jacqui (now Abbie) is the best addition to our new home! She is growing her hair out and has gained almost 10 pounds. She is simply the most beautiful and sweet dog we have ever met. Abbie has responded VERY well to training and loves to walk through the neighborhood while showing the other dogs how to be well behaved. Thank you for such a successful rescue experience-Abbie will always have a forever home with us! Kathleen C. |
Happy New Year to one and all! I simply had to send photos of my reunion with Archie the day I got back from Iraq. Even though I'd been gone fifteen months (and he'd lived the doggie high life with my mom in the Hill Country), he was so excited to see me! There was a whole lot of happy licking my face; then he just curled up in my lap and nuzzled. It is wonderful to be home! Archie agrees -- 2008 is going to be a great year! Cheers! Memi L. |
Fiona met her new sisters (Hershey and Sugar) and her two bothers (the cats). It was very funny to see her reaction when she saw the cats. She was very curious but stayed pretty calm and just sniffed them. Fiona and Hershey have become good friends. She really makes us laugh when she plays. We will continue to keep you updated. Ashley and Holt |
Happy New Year! These pictures of Oreo and Scooby were taken on 1/11/2008. Both dogs are doing great. I think both really enjoy going for walks in our neighborhood. When I ask Scooby if he wants to go on a walk he will start spinning around in circles because he is so happy. Oreo is just a happy boy and is almost my shadow. Anywhere I go Oreo will be there also (he is very protective of his daddy as well.) Jim T. |
We renamed Martha, Emma Bell. She is the best puppy! We absolutely adore her and can't imagine our family without her. She took a trip with us to MN for Christmas and was perfect in the car. She loves to snuggle with us on the couch and will take any chance she gets to sneak into the girls' rooms to sleep. Thank you again for all you did to get her to us. |
Here are the Christmas pictures. Dustin was well behaved and didn't seem to mind having his picture taken. Hailey was another story! Bev, Hailey and Dustin |
Happy New Year Ya'll! I thought I would send you a few pictures of Kaleb and Dallas. They have "trained" Linda and I to be good parents. In other words they are spoiled! Kaleb loves the rope you gave us. The boys bring a lot of joy to our lives. Thank you again for your help, Bobby and Linda |
I just wanted to keep you updated with Mac. We went to Albuquerque for new year's eve and Mac seemed to enjoy the walks through downtown. Mac has lost 3 pounds so far and I really believe he is becoming more active. Mac has a very special place in our hearts and we can't imagine our home without him. Thanks so much for rescuing him and allowing us the chance to adopt him. Here's a picture of us in Albuquerque. Sandra |
Tugboat and Jessie (formerly Max and Maggie) are the center of our lives, and it's all because of you. Thank you for giving so much of yourselves to helping dogs and helping people like us find new canine friends. Here's hoping 2008 is a little bit slower for you! Sara and Charlie M. |
Things are going very well with Bandit (formerly Jordan) and I can't tell you how much joy he has brought me! My parents spoiled him with gifts this Christmas and love to call him "Grandog". Here is a picture that was taken a couple of months ago. He has lost about 5lbs since I had him...lots of walking on the trail! Amanda M. |
Cleo is wonderful...I love her !!! She is everything that you said -- very well behaved ... She is just the kind of dog I wanted.... Happy New Year!! Carole A. Seniors Rule! |
Here's the latest pic of Gertie and Greta. You should see how beautiful and lively Greta has become! Kathy J.
Seniors Rule! |
Thatcher is definitely a keeper. We’ve changed his name to Oscar, and he responds to it. Thank you. Alex and John F. |
Waldo snuggling with his new mom. There's no place like home for the holidays, says Waldo! |
Hamish (New name, Zebco - Zeb for short) made it home very well. He slept most of the way home and had to deal with a total of 19 Christmas guests at our house about 1 hour after we got home. He was the hit of the party and loved everyone in the room. Zeb just loves people and we have already fallen in love with him totally. He will fit into our family very well for sure. May God bless you and the entire Cocker Adoption group for your kindness. Thanks again for our sweet boy. Dennis and Kathy W. |
I know you had asked me for a picture of Millie sometime ago and this one I am sending was taken last week and it came out very good. She is such a sweet dog and has cerainly brought a lot of joy into my life. She has the run of the house even when I go out. Last August we went to Galveston for a few days and Millie loved every minute of it. I will always be grateful to the Cocker Rescue and all the faithful foster parents for bringing her into my life. All of you do a wonderful job. Rose Marie S. |
Brady (formerly Dudley) is doing wonderful; he is a constant fixture on the couch, he is great in the car, and he loves to get in bed with the kids. We also introduced him to my sister's dog and cat and he did great with them! We are thrilled everything has worked out the way it has - our entire family is completely in love with him!!!! Amy G. |
Simon Stubbs, age 7, is a cocker/dachshund mix. He likes sleeping in Nana's bed. He likes licking, licking, licking. We are sure his licks are kisses. His favorite toy is a rubber hamburger. We love him so much. Thank you, Barb R.
Seniors Rule! |
I wanted to send you some pics we've taken since we've had Mauri and JC...we love them dearly and our lives are so much more fulfilled with them in it. My husband built a really nice deck on the back of our home and we had a garden too. JC likes to snack on the bell peppers; he's sneaky. Mauri has taught JC how to roll over on his back and play. They are delightful, happy puppies. Thanks again for the great work you do! Dawn and Charles V. Seniors Rule! |
Toby (formerly Gromit) came to live with us on Saturday. He has absolutely the most steady and loving personality of any dog we have ever had. The folks at the Austin Cocker Spaniel Rescue did a great job fostering him. He has had no "accidents" so far, and he is well on his way to learning how to navigate a doggy-door. We are all looking forward to growing old together. Caryl G. |
Mary Todd is great. She laid comfortably on her back in our arms for the first time last night – she had resisted before. She is happy in her pen while we are gone with the peanut butter rubber dog chew toy. I put Lacy’s bed right outside of it so there would be another dog near. She is sleeping happily between our shoulders in the bed all night long. She loves to steal socks and underwear from the laundry when we are not looking. So cute! But naughty too… Jennifer G. |
I adopted Bailey (aka "the Pumpkin") two and a half years ago and we have been having fun ever since! I had gone to adoption day intending to adopt a puppy, but then I saw Bailey's precious face and knew I wanted to give him a good home. Bailey loves to root for the Longhorns by wearing his Longhorn gear and never lets his orange football get far from his sight! Bailey has been a truly amazing addition to my life and I hope that others can experience the same joy by adopting a Cocker Spaniel from the rescue group. Thanks for all the hard work you do to get these dogs into good homes! Ginger P. |
Bosley (adopted 2002) is teaching Bree (aka Mia) all about the pampered pet life in her new forever home. They enjoy their daily walks together. Mia is still shy and timid but she has gone out the dog door independently, barked twice and is learning to play with her toys (even the squeaky ones) as she runs through the house and yard. Ricki & Chuck B. |
Tex, AKA Boomer, is doing great! We love him dearly. He's been running with me on my days off and keeping Buster on his toes. He's been a perfect addition to our family. Its like we've had him his whole life. Thank you for everything! Jeni and Heather |
I finally took some pictures of Franny (formerly Frances). This is her, "I’m paying attention" look! She will be 7 months old on Sept. 7th. She isn't liking me gone all day at work and seems to be sick of it by Thursday. I have been getting up early and playing ball with her, which seems to help. Tina |
We are enjoying having Scooter as part of the family. He is such a good dog. He loves to play catch. He prefers to be inside, but we get him to play outside as much as we can so he gets lots of exercise. He likes to go for walks around the block while our son rides his scooter. He follows me around the house and basically flops on the floor where ever I am, unless he can climb in my lap. He seems happy. Dianna |
I'm still amazed that Albert is such a good dog and a great fit for my life. Probably thinks his name is "good boy!" Dan H. |
There is a saying that states that owning a pet is your only chance to choose your family. I have 2 reasons to smile every day no matter what kind of day that I have had working. Its funny that the wags and the wiggles will make your day brighter. Jim T. with his pals Scooby and Oreo. |
I keep meaning to give an update on Bubba (formerly Dudley) but life is busy. His whole personality has changed since he came to us. He has slimmed down considerably from his morning runs with Keith and his evening walks with Ali and me. He was once content to sit at someone's side (or on top of them) and be petted. Now he loves to be loved on but even more he loves to chase bubbles and jump on the trampoline. I think he's learning how to be a puppy again! Remember how he didn't like to get his feet wet? Now he plays in the rain! We were outside on the patio and I was petting him and wondering "What happened to that big oaf we adopted?" He's doing great. Once again, thank you. Treena H. |
As you can tell from the picture, Coco (formerly Bebe) is just beautful. She goes in for her grooming tomorrow, which we've decided to shave her all over this time. Last time we did the Cocker cut but with the heat, it's too much for her. Her spaying is scheduled for the 2nd week in July so I'll let you know how that goes. I couldn't be happier with Coco. She is a blessing to our family. Nicole C. |
We took Brooklyn and Tiffany camping on North Padre Island on our family vacation and they were absolutely great! They loved walks on the beach, chasing the seagulls, and digging in the sand. They got plenty wet and sandy but were a bit timid to do any real swimming. I thought you might enjoy these pictures of them. Such beauties! Debbie |
As promised, here are pics of Tugs (formerly Max) and Jessie (formerly Maggie) at our favorite swimming hole. The life jackets are to help us keep track of them, not because they actually need them. Also because they're so darn cute. As one woman commented: They look like little suitcases! We are so in love! Sara & Charlie M. |
Just wanted to let you know that JC and Mauri are doing well and we finally got some pics. JC loves the outdoors and Mauri is a true water dog; I could barely get her out of the river. Dawn and Charles V. |
Just wanted to send a picture of Capt'n Morgan (formally Toby) who we adopted in Jan of last year. He is such a joy to have. This is my daughter Jess, with Morgan and the little white dog is our Bonny. Jeanelle F. |
Jarvis, (formerly Morgan) is doing quite well--he's up to 15 lbs and is taller than Karma (formerly Phoebe) at the shoulders. He loves to run in circles through our house--it's great because he finally tires himself out. Both dogs are learning to respect each others' spaces (Karma's space) and they are starting to play together. Karma has even rolled a ball to J a few times and lets him take it. I'm now done with school so I can spoil them full time. Barb W. |
Here's a recent picture of Angel (formerly Midge), she's so big! We love her and will be taking her to the beach for our family vacation. Espy T. |
Crumbs, (formerly Mickey) has made a successful transition in joining our family which includes Pipsie (also a rescue from 8 years ago)! He's a lively little guy who is very curious, smart and athletic! Both dogs encourage all of us to walk them several times a day! We were surprised how well they both adjusted to each other, especially since Pipsie is at least 9 years old! We've never had two dogs at the same time before- it's been highly entertaining and fun for the entire family!!! Thank you, Cocker Rescue, for helping us find and adopt two wonderful dogs! Carol F. |
Hogan is doing very well; he is more like a 'toddler' dog now than a baby puppy. He is making great strides in his housetraining, walking nicely on a leash for his age, and is VERY popular w/ the other dogs and residents. Because of Hogan, I am getting in my one hour/day walking the doctor ordered. I have found some nice walking trails and there are also several nearby parks we plan to visit! Christine M. |
Bertie has settled in well and, despite a busy social calendar this weekend, he has figured out that my home is his home and tends to stick close by my feet. All in all, I can't believe my good fortune having discovered such a good natured dog. Thanks for all that y'all do. Dan H. |
This is Beau sleeping with Butch, one rainy cold day. I will keep you updated on his life. We just love him! Susan W. |
Here is the latest pic of Bess. She is still doing really well and loves to cuddle with us on the bed. My girlfriend's Sheltie stayed with us this weekend and Bessie was a little jealous, but did well overall. Lisa V. |
Abbie (formerly Sookie) is the sweetest dog. She has learned her new name and has been great company for me during the day. Thank you so much. Suzanne M. |
Sorry it has taken me so long to get these to you guys!! I just FINALLY took the time to learn to do this!! Moze or MO-MO (that is what Lauren calls him) is doing great!! He is one smart dog!! Stacey M. |
Chester (formerly Captain Picard) fits right in. He plays wonderfully with Freddy and you would think they are long lost brothers or something!!! Mandy B. |
Jolly the Happy Cocker Spaniel, 2000-2007. I never dreamed I would have him for such a short time, and my consolation is that I gave him a fine life filled with love and that I did everything I could for him. I am glad that I had just told him how much I loved him and what a good boy he was. Christine M. |
I am attaching a pic I took of Petey with my cell phone on the way home. He is SO happy! He LOVES Peyton and Dottie and my hubby and me. It's adorable. I think we may have just found the right pup. No accidents yet. We're very happy to have him and can't thank you enough. Alyssa D. |
Cocoa (formerly Maggie) is doing well here so far. The kids are already very attached to her, and the neighbor children have been ringing the doorbell! She is a little hoot-crawling under the chairs, under our legs, sitting on our feet... She whines at the children's doors after they've gone to bed for the night. Thanks for everything. Amy H. |
Maggie became a member of our family over Easter weekend 2006. We will always remember her beatiful smile and the Maggie dance, and how she followed me wherever I went. She was a blessing to us in the last year of her life. Thank you once more for allowing our family to adopt a beautiful, sweet, older dog into our home. Amy H. |
Cheyenne (formerly Buffy) is doing really good. The crate training is smooth and Cheyenne seems to have adjusted fast to the family. The cats are starting to come around her a little bit. Cheyenne wants to play, however, she is not chasing any cats at this time. We are thrilled to have her with our family. Fondly, Ginny M. |
We are so excited to have Zoe in our family and fall in love with her more and more each day. After a long day at school/work, she makes us smile with her excitement to see us when we walk in the door. She is a pleasure to have and we could not have been luckier! Debi B. and Family |
Well here is Becca at home with us. This is what she did when my son sat on the floor next to her pillow. She sat on the couch with me all evening as I read a book, she snuggled close and was comfortable with Rebecca when she came and joined us. Christine J. |
We took Stormy to the lake on Saturday; she LOVES the water! She is so happy...we just love her to death. I'm so glad Sharon made me adopt her. Kim K. |
Here is a photo of Cricket sporting her first cocker clip....and they said she was an angel. She is getting better about getting drops in her ears, or getting them cleaned. She is such a loving little sweetheart. Also, her personality has blossomed ... she keeps us in stitches. Joy P. |
It's so nice to have Herbie! He's doing really well in his new home. We've spent a lot of time playing ball and cuddling! Here is a picture of the Love Bug hanging out at my house. Enjoy! Heather L. |
What a wonderful dog my buddy Moose (top) has turned out to be. The other 2 boys love him now and they are all playing, barking, running and chasing each other, etc. Thank you for rescuing this beautiful dog. He is so worth it. Jewell R. |
Fred & Ginger have been with us now for one week and Mike and I both feel that their adjustment has been wonderful. There are still moments of insecurity, but they have definitely selected parts of the house as "theirs." Once again, thanks and we want to assure you that we really love Ginger and Fred! Sue and Mike |
Millie is doing wonderful. She has her own place on the love seat in the living room and sleeps in bed with my Mom at night laying her head on the pillow next to my Mom's. There were two Chihuahua's and a dachshund there yesterday plus a baby and she was very well behaved with everyone. My Mom has bonded with her and I think it's a perfect match. Janice R. |
We all enjoy Midge, she is so cute and full of energy. We have renamed her Angel. She is doing very well with the potty training. In fact, we do not lock her in the crate. We leave her in a bathroom with the crate door open and she waits for us to take her out. Steve T. |
Toby (formerly Franklin) is such an incredible companion. We cannot imagine our lives without him! He has the sweetest disposition that everyone around him falls in love with him. It is amazing how many people who aren't animal people will warm up to him. He just has a way of wiggling into your heart. Ashley T. |
We are just so thrilled to have Jamie. My parents visited this past weekend and could not believe what a sweet dog we got! It is so funny. She sits for HOURS on the deck and just watches the world (I don't know what is out there that holds her interest but apparently something). Anyway, she is very happy, adjusted, and continues to be a perfect addition to our family. Jan R. |
We are so happy with Austin (formerly Chip), the new brother of Dallas (Beagle). Austin is so happy, they have a room only for them with a lot of toys, their own beds, water and food. Austin follows me everywhere with his sweet eyes. I am working with him in potty training. He likes when I hug him and touch his face and he falls asleep in my arms. Dallas was jealous in the beginning but now there is so much fun between them. Johanna W. |
We've had a great time. Yesterday all of my neighbors gathered at the fence to meet the new kid on the block. He loves everyone. His picture even made my church newsletter! Besides being handsome, Dustin is smart. He loves being outside. Thanks for all you do for my favorite breed. Bev D. |
I just wanted you to see pictures of Lucy (formerly Desi) and Baker. Baker is playing with his cookie ball. Since we lost Charlie, they have made Steve's and my lives complete again. I can't imagine life without them. Karen L. |
We love our Buster Brown. He is so sweet. When I leave the house, he and Brandy sit
side by side on their pillows upsatirs in the game room with their little noses sticking out of the window I keep cracked open for them to sniff. We walk when it is not raining. We all snuggle together at night. I give him his eye medicine every day. All my friends and family think he is gorgeous and adorable. Pam H. |
Here are a couple of pictures we took tonight of the dogs. They get along so well. Earl has been adjusting nicely. He doesn't cry anymore! We're taking him to the vet sometime next week to get his remaining shots. Jess |
I'm very thankful that Austin Cocker Rescue exists. Harley is a joy; I still find it cute that his tongue hangs out every time he sleeps. He's friendly to everyone he meets, he's playful and he has officially replaced my alarm clock. After greeting me awake in the morning, Harley's first priority is breakfast. Although his internal clock runs a bit early at times, I'm happy that he readily goes back to bed with a satisfied tummy. Mark B. |
I wanted to send you some photos of Annie to show you how well she's doing. Just to jog your memory, Annie was found at town lake, then someone adopted her and brought her back. I was told she went unadopted for a year. She is doing so well. We have had her on allergy shots for a couple of years and she's back to her long walks and is running two legs at a time again, too! I can hardly keep up with her. Stefanie S. |
Trooper and Isabelle have been such a wonderful joy to have in our family. I can't believe I found such wonderful pets! We are blessed to have them. Kitti D. |
It’s amazing how much Sally (aka Suzy) feels like she’s always been with us. She is so loving, gentle, patient, and funny! We all love her and can’t imagine her not being a part of our family. Enjoy the pictures of her in the girls annual fall picture. It seemed only fitting that our newest girl Sally should now be part of the event! Kim T. |
I have some current pictures of Miles and Penney so I thought I'd pass them along to their other "moms." They are both still doing really well and adjusting quite quickly. We really enjoy them both! Sheryl |
Chester made great progress this year! We've met with the trainer a couple of times, and learned some new lessons, which Chester picked up right away. At home, on command he hits the Spot bed, and doesn't leave until we give him the "Alright." This is great if someone comes to the door unexpectedly. Greg and I have come a long, long way since we first approached you. We thank you for your trust in giving us this true sweetheart. Linda & Greg L. |
Ace has a 4-pound chihuahua girlfriend named Lilly who will spend the occasional afternoon with him while her mom and I are at work. He lets her sleep on his back, and licks her face and ears when she gets sleepy. He has more toys than he knows what to do with and is a very spoiled, very happy little boy, and I plan on keeping him that way for a very long time. Thank you for my puppy! Madeline N. |
This is me and my friend, Cookie. I really like him because he sleeps in my bed. I love him a lot. He snuggles in my covers. I like how he wakes me up because he licks my face in the morning. I really like hugging Cookie. Love, Astrid |
Chance loves to chase bubbles in the backyard with his buddy Neo. We have found out that Chance is a little jumper. He can jump about 3 feet in the air to get the bubbles! He has so much personality and spunk that he finds ways to amuse us every day. We love the little guy tremendously! Jocelyn & Bill P. |
I train both of my boys, Oakley and Otter in Agility. Oakley, who is two, is more cautious with the obstacles and he is toy motivated. Otter, on the other hand, is 7 months old and is a mad man on the course. He loves his treats and rushes through the obstacles just to get the treats. It is fun for all. I am truly blessed to have my boys and thanks to Cocker Rescue for bringing them to me. Margaret G. |
It is certainly hard to believe Libby (now 'Lady' because she is such a
princess) has been with me for a month! She has really eased into the house and is a charming dog. Aiko and I are both very happy to have her as part of the family. Thanks so much! Kristina H. |
Tommy and Jasmine say 'Trick or Treat'! Our vet confirmed that Jasmine is a true blue merle. She's very alert and responsive, and I'm sure that with a little time, I could teach her all kinds of tricks. Both Eros and I really like this little girl. Thanks so much for recommending her to us! Fabienne & Eros |
Stormy is so happy right now......she's learned how to chase the ball and pick it up with her mouth....she's a little clumsy, however, so it's cute to watch her. She also discovered the kiddy pool and decided it was a spa so she layed down last night and cooled her tummy off. Kim K. |
I really love Baxter! I have gotten so many compliments on him from neighbors on how well behaved he is. I finally broke down and decided his hair was too long and so I got him groomed. He looks really different. Cindy P. |
Walter is super sweet and has already claimed his spot on the bed. We feel really lucky.
It feels like we've had him forever....it's been really great and everyone adores him. We entered him in the HEB Top Dog contest and expect him to win hands down, who could resist that face? We renamed him Jackson because he is such a southern gentleman with great manners. Richard G. |
Darby is really a good dog. It's hard to believe that she is only 9 mos. She and Niki play tug of war with various toys, run around the back yard, or just hang out together. We had a doggie door put in and they go in and out continuously. Niki is exhausted at night after all of this exercise. Darby watches for birds and will stand inside with just her head through the doggie door and her favorite toy, a screeching monkey, in her mouth. Karan A. |
Ariel, Hershey and I had a wonderfully eventful summer, and they have become quite the travelers! We returned to Austin at the end of August and moved into a more spacious apartment. I've given them traditional cocker cuts, but I kept Hershey's curls on the top of his head like a poodle (in fact, people who don't know much about dogs always ask if Hershey is a poodle - although I don't think he looks like one at all!!) Jaya S. |
Bodie and Obie are so wonderful. We just love them to death! They both played all weekend with their cousin and dug in the sandbox and played in the man-made pond at my parents'house. They were totally pooped last night and were not very happy about the late-night shower. They are absolute loves and we can't wait to get home to them each day. Jennifer G. |
Maddie is doing wonderfully. She is well loved and is getting tons of attention from all. All in all, we couldn't ask for a better dog in Maddie!! Charlotte J. |
I adopted Teddy Bear (you knew him as Snickers) in March 2003. He is a such a joy to me! He is the best snuggler ever! All my future puppies will definitely come from the Cocker Rescue Group. Julie R. |
Jolly just celebrated his 4th anniversary of living with me and we are still so happy together! He's as sweet and smart and handsome as ever! Christine M. |
I just thought I would send you some pictures of Freddy and let you know that he is doing just fine! These are mainly pictures of him and his new favorite toy, this really, and I mean really, ugly alien looking thing. Haha! I guess all that matters is he likes it! Mandy B. |
Sterling is such a character and he is always by my side. I just love him. Janice H. |
This is Lexie who you knew as Ramona. I have had her about seven months now. I thought you might want to see what a beautiful puppy she is! She did not like it when I stuck the camera in her face!!! Kate P. |
Dear CSR! Happy One-Year Anniversary!! It is hard to believe I have only had Archibald Merriweather for a year; he is such a part of my life. I realized it was far too long since I sent you photos of Archie. Memi |
