Wiggins

Wiggins got his name because he was sporting a crazy mane of hair when he first came to rescue. Poor Wiggins has never had anyone who cared enough about him to teach him how to be a house dog. He hasn't had much opportunity for socialization and everything is new and scarey to him. When he hears or sees something new, Wiggins immediately wants to run and hide and is fearful about coming out of his crate or out from under a table or chair (wherever he has hidden).

In the coming weeks, we hope to see a new, more confident and happy boy begin to emerge. But in the meantime, we think Wiggins would do best in a quiet home with an experienced cocker family who can be patient and help him with house training and socialization skills. He seems to like other dogs, and would probably feel more at home in a family with a companion dog or two. Wiggins is 2-3 years old.
