Camy. You see a young super cute little girl cocker and think, "wow, that must be an EASY adoption!"... but with a dog like Camy, who likely has had some trauma in her past, looks aren't everything to consider.. Little Camy girl has some things she's working on--she is super nervous upon meeting new people, in particular, when she first came to us, she was *extremely* sensitive about her neck/collar area--yelping even when nothing seemed to be obviously hurt. She's been working on getting de-sensitized to being handled and around new people. Turns out, once she opens up, she's a lively, happy little girl. Camy is probably not the best choice for a first time dog owner or someone who wants to take a dog lots of places. She would love a quiet home, with lots of walks so she can sniff the flowers--adults only, please! She's 2 years old, so she's got some energy. Unfortunately, she's also heartworm positive, so she'll be getting treated for that at CSRA expense. Interested in adoption? Approved applicants can email us their interest at woof@austincockerrescue.org You can find our application at www.austincockerrescue.org We are not accepting out of state applications at this time.
