Magpie

Magpie came in to us at 5 weeks old. She was born with a heart condition called PDA. She recently received surgery to correct this and is going amazingly well. For now this gentle giant is on a heart medication to help it build it's strength back up. We won't be sure until her little heart has a chance to fight if it will be lifetime or short lived medication. How has this effected Magpie? IT HASN'T ! Not one bit, she's still a long legged puppy who loves to play with other dogs, slink onto couches, and run zoomies in the back yard. She's one of those dogs who loves to just walk up to you and place her head on your lap and stare into your eyes. She would make a wonderful visiting therapy dog. Magpie is ready for her forever home, she's a little behind on the learning curve for potty training but she tries real hard! She just is distracted easily by the grazing butterfly or new smell on the wind. She's got a huge bark and will use it if she's not allowed to snuggle you on the bed at night and when she wants to play. She's the perfect pup if you are looking for that puppy stamina with a little snuggle in between. Magpie is currently 6 months old. Almost forgot, Magpie is a WATER DOG! She loves to splash in a baby pool or chase the hose, with some coaxing she will be a full blown swimmer!
