ennyson has been with CSRA for a couple of months already while getting his medical issues taken care of-- He's now been cleared for adoption, but that's why you don't see those long fluffy ears--they will grow back! Tennyson is a beautiful, black cocker mix (we are attaching a couple of his "before" pics so you can see what he looks like with longer fur). In the last couple of months, Tennyson has been through two surgeries to remove his ear canals which were full of scar tissue due to chronic ear infections. He pulled through both surgeries like a champ, but as a result, he is now mostly deaf. He has adapted to his hearing loss wonderfully and can still hear loud noises. He has been trained to obey hand signals and is still learning more. He has shown us that he is a quick learner and loves to please his "people". Currently he knows come, sit, lie down, and stay and behaves very well on a leash. Tennyson is believed to be about 2 years old and has the energy of a young dog, without the puppy issues. He is house trained and uses a dog door very well. We believe he would be happy in a home with active children or with adults who are active and like to walk and get out. Tennyson is very friendly with other dogs, people and even cats. He has adapted well to life with his foster cat "sister" and we believe he would do well in a home with a cat and other dogs. He loves to play fetch with a ball as well as play with toys and the other dog in his foster home, but is equally happy sharing the sofa with anyone willing to curl up and give him attention. He has not displayed any anxiety issues when left alone, rarely barks, rides well in a car and loves to curl up on the couch or on a dog bed when sleeping at night. Doesn't he sound just perfect??
