Gingerbread. First: a warning. Hold on to something because if you look for too long into Gingerbread's eyes, you're gonna fall deep. This beautiful english girl is 9 and she found herself befuddled to be wrenched from a loving home after her previous owner passed away and no one would take care of her. The shelter is no place for a dignified sweet soul like hers, so we're really happy she ended up with us and another chance at a happily furever after. This beautiful girl is a bit shy- if she’s in an environment she doesn’t feel comfortable in, she’ll find her safe person and sit on their shoe. We think she’s saying "base! can’t tag me here!"
But dont let her initial standoffishness fool you, she's a sweetheart who wants nothing more than lots of love and a lap to sit in. if she thinks she’s not getting quite enough attention she’ll let you know by gently patting you on the face with a little fluffy paw. she will wiggle her way under and elbow, or in front of a phone or a laptop screen. she will do all of this with a toy in her mouth, because she loves to carry around toys. she’s doesn’t chew on them or shred them (which is good news because she seems to be under the impression that socks and shoes are toys),. She wants to hold them, and then hoard them. if she isn’t sitting on a lap, she’s sitting like a fluffy little dragon atop a small hoard of pilfered toys (and socks.) her favorite toys are the ones that belonged to someone else before she snuck in and nabbed them. she’s a little mischievous, and very sweet. her big brown eyes will melt your heart. She is very good on a leash, and very well potty trained. she is crate trained. We will say: sharing isn’t her best quality, toys, treats or people, she will hoard them and their attention and guard them jealously.
Feel free to fall in love with Gingerbread, we sure have!
