Adoptable Dogs

Adorable & adoptable: Tequila! Let me tell ya, these sweet, handsome young cocker spaniel boys, they're a hoot. They're affectionate and friendly but sometimes it's like being hugged by a rocketship. Tequila is a young, enthusiastic, athletic boy around 2 years old. He's already qualified for the next Doggie Olympics in sprints and high jump. It took him about 2.5 seconds to clear a baby gate. Sometimes, he likes to launch himself into your lap (OOF). He's good on a leash and when he goes on walks, all of the squirrels and deer in the neighborhood quiver in fear. (Ok. So, they mostly ignore him. But he's GOT 'EM ON THE ROPES). Luckily, he is smart and trainable (he's been working on "down"). He's got the doggie door all figured out! He loves to snuggle and watch TV, particularly animal documentaries. He will get up close and personal with the screen when something interesting comes on. He's also a fan of toys, especially stuffies and chew bones. Tequila would love an active family with a yard. Being able to run and play is a necessity for him. He has not been tested with cats and small children and he's very friendly, but based on his "enthusiasm"--we're betting that he should stick to environments with less things for him to chase and/or knock down. Cocker Spaniel Rescue of Austin/San Antonio adopts to applicants within the state of Texas. Prospective adopters must meet the dog(s) in which they are interested in person, in order to determine compatibility. We do not ship animals or provide transport.
