Linda Norelli first came on our radar in February 2007 when she was pet sitting for one of our foster moms, Carol Greenhalgh. Linda took a shine to Carol’s foster, Harlow, and decided to take her under her wing. Since that time, Linda has become such an invaluable resource to Cocker Spaniel Rescue, that we are hard pressed to remember a time when she wasn’t part of the group! Linda lives in Northeast Austin with her mother, Eleanor, and their Cocker spaniels, Alex and Punky, adopted from CSRA. Despite her already busy schedule, Linda manages to find time to shuttle Cockers to and from veterinary appointments, meet & greet events, and from area shelters to freedom and a chance at a new life. Linda also does intake evaluations, home visits, and is instrumental in coordinating and running many of our public events. Although Alex doesn’t approve of her being a regular foster, Linda does keep the occasional canine overnight visitor or weekend guest.
We simply could not do all that we do without Linda. With Linda on board, our foster parents know that help is just a phone call or email away. Her selfless dedication has saved countless lives and made many families very, very happy. We don’t always know where Linda finds the time to do all she does for us, but we can’t thank her enough!
365 days a year, our volunteers labor behind the scenes to transport or foster dogs, work with potential adopters, and attend special events in the community. In one year, our volunteer hours equal that of multiple full time employees! We cannot thank our volunteers enough for all the time and compassion they give.
